Optimal Hypercontractivity for Fermi Fields and Related Non-commutative Integration Inequalities

چکیده
Optimal hypercontractivity bounds for the fermion oscillator semigroup are obtained. These are the fermion analogs of the optimal hypercontractivity bounds for the boson oscillator semigroup obtained by Nelson. In the process, several results of independent interest in the theory of non-commutative integration are established. ∗ On leave from School of Math., Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA 30332 ∗∗ Work supported by U.S. National Science Foundation grant no. Hypercontractivity in Non-commutative Holomorphic Spaces
We prove an analog of Janson’s strong hypercontractivity inequality in a class of non-commutative “holomorphic” algebras. Our setting is the q-Gaussian algebras Γq associated to the q-Fock spaces of Bozejko, Kümmerer and Speicher, for q ∈ [−1, 1]. We construct subalgebras Hq ⊂ Γq , a q-Segal-Bargmann transform, and prove Janson’s strong hypercontractivity L(Hq)→ L(Hq) for r an even integer.

We derive error estimates in the appropriate norms, for the streamlinediffusion (SD) finite element methods for steady state, energy dependent,Fermi equation in three space dimensions. These estimates yield optimal convergencerates due to the maximal available regularity of the exact solution.High order SD method together with implicit integration are used. The formulationis strongly consistent...
متن کاملHypercontractivity of Hamilton–jacobi Equations
– Following the equivalence between logarithmic Sobolev inequalities and hypercontractivity showed by L. Gross, we prove that logarithmic Sobolev inequalities are related similarly to hypercontractivity of solutions of Hamilton–Jacobi equations. By the infimum-convolution description of the Hamilton–Jacobi solutions, this approach provides a clear view of the connection between logarithmic Sobo...
